QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

These are the most common questions we've been asked over the years. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you!

Q: Is it classified as a switchblade?

A: No

Q: Can I put this on a shotgun?

A: Yes

Q: Will this work with MLOK, KeyMod, etc.

A: Gripknife attaches directly to a picatinny rail. This is the standard for military and police weapons for over 60 years. If you want to attach Gripknife to a modern rail system, they will usually sell small picatinny rail sections that you can buy aftermarket, so that you can attach that to your rifle, and attach Gripknife to that rail section.

Q: How do I buy?

A: Use the options laid out in our payment center. Yes, it's not the most convenient, but it works. We can thank big liberal tech for that. They love receive letters about how they can get better, so feel free to reach out to them.

Q: Can I install it on a pistol?

A: Please follow your local, state, and federal laws.

Q: Will the blade cut my thumb in deployment of the knife?

A: The blade has a false edge on the side facing you; this means the side facing you is dull. The sharp edge is facing away from you.

Q: Will Gripknife come off if the button is accidentally bumped?

A: The firing button on the mount (what unlocks the knife from the rifle) needs to be pushed in further than the surrounding area, so that it recesses. Only then will it deploy. This is an added safety feature. However, a safety is a man made device that will fail. Don't touch the firing button until you are ready to deploy the knife.

Q: What's the difference between left-handed and right--handed models?

A: In short, the only difference is which side of the grip the blade unlock button is. This is just to make it easier for reinstalling the knife after use. It's personal preference. The important thing is that the knife deploys the same. What happens afterwards is largely for convenience.

Q: Can I return it?

A: Yes. We are proud that every Gripknife ever sold to our customers, has never been returned for any reason. We occasionly check in on some of professional customers to make sure everything is still fuctioning flawlessly, and they have no issues to report after several years of extensive use in harsh places.  Gripknife is being battle tested.

Q: Is there a life-time warranty?

A: Yes.

Q: Will you sharpen it?

A: Yes, just pay for shipping both ways. We use Japanese water stone wheels to get our blades consistantly razor sharp, without scratching the blade and its coating.

Q: Why does it cost so much, I thought knives were like $25?

A: This is a very reasonable price when dealing with high quality knives, and high quality firearm accessories. It's normal to pay $400 for a flashlight, $1500 for an optic, etc. Just depends on what level of quality you want to rely on. Gripknife is made from some of the greatest materials on earth, has some of the most durable coatings known. Everything is precision machined so that it functions correctly and reliably... price is not for show, unnecessary looks, or profits...

Q: Will you ship to (insert foreign country here)?

A: Depends. Email us so we can review. Each case is different.

Q: Does it require a break in period?

A: If you are a new customer, it may take some practice and/or a break-in period to get the hang of it.

Our personal favorite Q: How does the knife go into the barrel?

A: If you asked this, please do not purchase because it's not for you.
